Life Force, Life Forms, and HUMANS

“ALL life wants to live!” In order to understand that you must look closer at what it means to live. Does it mean waking up every morning going about our rituals of the day? Does it mean breathing oxygen into our lungs and exhaling with every heartbeat given? What does it mean to live?

One night I had a dream and in that dream I asked about life. I cannot remember the entire conversation but when I woke from that dream the phrase that stayed with me is the one I began this passage with. Throughout the remaining portion of that day I couldn’t stop thinking about this dream and more of it came to me. The bottom line was significant to Human existence as a life form on a life force. This was such an enigmatic moment for me as I couldn’t immediately understand but somehow knew what it all meant.

In reference to being Human and designated as the “most intelligent” species on this planet, I sometimes don’t know if I should laugh or cry at the reality of this statement.  There are countless amounts of life on our little blue dot in space and yet only a fraction of it is ever really referenced. As if, no other life form is important enough or impactful enough to constitute even an honorable mention. If I believed the theory that mankind is the most intelligent then I would cry very sorrowful tears because I am a member of a group who feels that intelligent beings customarily kill other beings for sport, pleasure, or no reason at all. I would douse my face in a pool of cool water to extinguish the ignorance burning in my mind that was allowing me to think intelligent beings habitually pollute the earth they live on as well as the bodies they live in all in the name of pleasure, desire, or a false sense of self importance.

The animals of this planet have a job to do just as we (humans) have. If you really stop to think about it, you inevitably come to the conclusion that either they (animals) are doing their job much more efficiently and with much less negative impact than we are or we have lost some critical information with regards to living and flourishing on this planet. Does that make them more intelligent than us? Some may say yes however, that isn’t the major issue. The most significant issue is that there is major work to be done in order for us (human, animal, and planet) to reach the next level. What we think of as living from day to day is not living at all and does nothing toward the elevation of planet and species. We are all capable of so much more and yet we squander our abilities on frivolous wants, desires, and pseudo-needs.

So what makes me qualified to point my finger at the race (human race) that I am a member of? Well, I have had a revelation that my own precious life force is slowly slipping away from me due to inadequate understanding of a genuine and most basic connection that we all share. Think of it as the glue that binds natural order. Humans and all other life forms on this planet do not exist individually, we coexist. When you examine the relationships further you find a deeper bond, a symbiotic connection between all life. This connection completes us all.
